“For successful online learning, language learners need opportunities to fully immerse in a language, in spaces where language use is relevant, and fully engaging conversations with peers can happen spontaneously allowing educators to observe language development and progress,” said James Johnson, managing director, EdTech Breakthrough. “Whether it's classroom, distance, or hybrid learning, Immerse represents a breakthrough tool that delivers synchronous English language learning. Congratulations to the Immerse team on winning our ‘Language Learning Innovation of the Year’ award.”

The mission of the EdTech Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the innovation, hard work and success in a range of educational technology categories, including Student Engagement, School Administration, Adaptive Learning, STEM Education, e-Learning, Career Preparation and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 2,000 nominations from over 17 different countries throughout the world.
