The Safe and Secure Online educational program was created by the determination of the over 110,000 members of (ISC)². These cybersecurity professionals collaborated and established this flagship online safety program that teaches children, parents, grandparents and whole communities how to protect themselves online and become responsible digital citizens.

CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program. There are three main programs within CyberPatriot: the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, AFA CyberCamps and the Elementary School Cyber Education Initiative. CyberPatriot was conceived by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire high school students toward careers in c​ybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. ​

Governance Risk Compliance Security International (GRCSI) is an international organisation of professionals whose goals are to promote best practices in governance, risk management, compliance and security though education, certification, and accreditation. GRCSI was founded in early 2009 by professionals and practitioners across the globe that identified the need for an authoritative body in the realm of risk management. GRCSI has a board of directors and advisers comprised of industry professionals that are heavily immersed in risk management, a certification board that manages the certification program, an education board that manages conferences, courses and seminars, and a large pool of volunteers that have dedicated countless hours to the success of the organisation.

The need for a reliable method to assure the knowledge and expertise of risk management personnel has been growing. The Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) certification is an indispensable and unmatched method for a risk management professional to demonstrate their qualifications. The CRMP program is for risk managers who have the knowledge, skill, and experience that meet the demanding need for risk based decision making processes. For risk managers with extensive experience in financial, information, or operations risk management, three additional concentration certifications are also available. The program is open to eligible juniors, seniors and graduate students in all majors. The program runs during the Fall (Aug - Dec) and Spring (Jan - May) semesters.

Code.org is a non-profit organization and eponymous website that aims to encourage people, particularly school students in the United States, to learn computer science. The website includes free coding lessons and the initiative also targets schools in an attempt to encourage them to include more computer science classes in the curriculum. On December 9, 2013, they launched the Hour of Code

San Diego Canyonlands' mission is to promote, protect and restore the natural habitats in San Diego County's canyons and creeks. We do this by fostering education and ongoing community involvement in stewardship and advocacy, and by collaborating with other organizations. We work together to help keep San Diego's canyons clean and beautiful. Work ranges from cleaning up trash, weeding, trash hauling and whatever's necessary to protect these areas.

C2SDK, with its staff and volunteers and supporters, has created a comprehensive Technology Assistance Program that recycles and refurbishes used computers and delivers them to families in need. C2SDK also provides each recipient with education, training and technical support necessary to achieve success.

Volunteer for the openSUSE Project. I spend my time helping to improve and iterate on the project by contributing code, maintaining and updating packages for the openSUSE Factory train (this feeds the Tumbleweed rolling release distribution and downstream into other parts of the project) and providing feedback on other areas of the project like security and documentation.
