Hosted and participated in the Alpha Beta Gamma International Business Honors Society Case Competition at College of San Mateo. 15+ participants signed up on Eventbrite, attended, and competed. We hosted professionals from the Finance/Tech industry, and college business professors to evaluate and select the best team. Such as Alex Kramer, Deputy Sector Navigator, Small Business, California Community Colleges, Southwest Bay Area Region. Dr. Richard Hilt, Business Professor, Palo Alto University. Robert Shoffner, Director, SBDC; Business Instructor; Club Advisor. Pete von Bleichert, Business Instructor; Club co-Advisor. The case was not told to participants prior to the event forcing participants to think on their feet the day of the competition. The case study asked participants to create their own food truck business plan within an hour. Contestants were given 1 hour to come up with an idea to present before the panel of judges. Subsequently, teams were asked to present their business plan to the judges in under 10 minutes. This project was one of our main focuses for the Fall 2015 semester in an effort to increase awareness on campus, and increase the amount of members which was successfully executed.
