The Vice President, Chamber of Commerce, is a crucial position within the organization. This position is responsible for leading the region's chamber of commerce efforts in close coordination with the President. Requirements:
• Will oversee all Chamber of Commerce projects, programs, and services
• Other areas of responsibility include overseeing various committees and programs related to business seminars, education, healthcare, military affairs, and the region's recruitment program
• Will contribute content and assist in proofreading the bi-monthly newsletter and other print/electronic materials used in promoting the Chamber
• Will work closely with communications staff and president regarding interaction with local, regional, and national media
• Must have impeccable oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to demonstrate effective public speaking skills
• Must be technically sound in chamber of commerce practices
• Must demonstrate effective leadership, supervisory, and motivational skills
• Must be able to effectively interact with staff, boards, investors, community leaders, elected officials, university officials, existing businesses, ADP members, and volunteers that are essential in carrying out the mission.
