Here's how you can enhance event logistics using problem-solving skills.
Technology is absolutely the magic wand of events! Events are all about the experience from the very first piece of communication to the post event thank you. Many orgs get caught focusing only on the night of the event details, but I promise you that donors already have an impression of your organization the moment they walk in the door! I have used many event platforms and OneCause has my confidence and loyality! They helped me and my team create magic moments and extract data that allows us to plan for the next event! Additionally, it's also important to focus on the technology that supports your onstage production. You want to wow the audience. Your storytelling needs to take flight and your tech will help you do just that!

Here's how you can stay ahead in your event planning career with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Let data take the lead in the fundraising dance! As a former and experienced fundraiser, data transformed our approach. At one point we were exhausting our donors and ourselves with 4 major events, 6 small events, campaigns and constant donation reminders. The data told us that our donors had fatigue. They stopped coming, stopped responded and peanut butter spread their small giving. We stepped back and simplified the plan, went down to two events, one ask and communicated to our donors with stories not constant solicitation. We tripled our numbers the first year. Data is everything!

How can you use creativity to reach new donors?
Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools in donor cultivation. People want to truly believe in something, they want to be part of something and they want to make a difference. If you can clearly articulate your mission with passion, conveying purpose while driving home action, you can and will build loyal donors. When creating the narrative you will share to foster relationships with current and potential donors, consider the following: - In one sentence, what is your mission? - Why do you personally believe in this mission? (This is a great spot for an impact story from outcomes or something that hits closer to home) - How can they make a difference? What will their single dollar do? Everyone has the power to be a storyteller!

How can you ensure your Social Impact message is clear and concise?
I agree with this completely! When I talk about our mission or program impact, I try to keep it concise and clear for everyone listening. I do this by removing any distracting word salad and speaking from the heart, with authenticity in every thought and word. I also aim to make a personal connection with the audience. Jargon and technical terms can sometimes be useful, but they often create a barrier to understanding and emotional connection. I keep it focused and easy to digest!
