    We proposed a model which helped improve the efficiency of the para-transit public transport system in an urban setting by facilitating coordination between the individual vehicle units and their controlling stations without any human interference. The project collated observations from traffic surveys and user choice behavior during peak/ off-peak hours in an attempt to minimize waiting times and hence, improve overall service.

    Explored the possibility of using sensors embedded in to the array of things package to sense uncleared snow on the streets and clear them using snow ploughs that will be dispatched according to a vehicle routing algorithm for efficient removal of snow.

    The objective of this project was to study the importance of bus transit system in Udupi City and the performance of the service based on commuter perception. It identified opportunities and deficiencies in the system and measures for improving the same were also suggested. The project involved carrying out extensive passenger load surveys as well as questionnaire surveys to assess the commuters' overall transit experience.

  • Improvement of Para-transit facilities using Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

Infra-red sensors and microwave transmitters and receivers were used to achieve the result. The project aimed at solving the problem of service availability at stations during peak and off-peak hours.
