When people in your household speak to Alexa, Alexa learns to recognize their voices automatically. This allows Alexa to personalize experiences. For example, when you say "Alexa, play music," if Alexa recognizes your voice, Alexa will play personalized music from Amazon Music based on your music request history.

Voice profiles give you and each user in your home the ability to teach Alexa your voice. When you then interact with your compatible devices, Alexa creates a personalized experience across supported features.

Pocket Platoons is a tactical RPG where you recruit, train, and control a military force and guide them on a battlefield where your control of unit positioning and tactics will lead you to victory.

We worked on a holistic strategy to amplify the launch of TERA on Steam via curation of Steam page content, performance marketing campaigns, and branding/awareness tactics. Since launching on Steam on May 5, 2015, TERA has seen explosive growth, with new and returning players pushing the total number of accounts to over 5 million in North America and 20 million worldwide. TERA is now the most-played MMORPG on Steam.

The brand site for ZMR was implemented using RefineryCMS (Ruby on Rails) to drive our content management initiatives. Learning from some of the challenges with the TERA site, we simplified many elements of our implementation and created a web style guide and template system to allow rapid design, development, and deployment for future games.

We added a gifting system for one of our published games without the need for the developer to provide new features within the game. We created a virtual product that a player could purchase on our website that the player could gift to others or use themselves. Upon use, the system would choose a random gift from a predetermined list of virtual items with associated drop rates and award that to the user in game using a system we had in place to give promotional items to players.

En Masse migrated from Digital River to fatfoogoo for our TERA-related storefront due to requiring virtual currency support. My team was responsible for integrating with the FFG platform to allow users to purchase virtual currency, activate subscriptions, and purchase virtual items via a web interface.

We designed and developed a series of leaderboards via which users could see the top 100 performers in TERA's instances, guild battles, and political system. This required authoring a new ETL transformation to extract data from our data warehouse (which is populated from game server data). The leaderboards were also integrated into En Masse's single sign-on system to allow for showing a logged-in user's rank regardless of whether or not they were in the top 100.

The brand site for TERA was migrated from Drupal (PHP) to RefineryCMS (Ruby on Rails). RefineryCMS allows us to add specific modules we need on a per-project basis. In addition, the nature of the open source project is such that we can enhance and fix existing modules to the benefit of the community. In addition, it allows us to add new modules for major functionality that we need for our specific sites.

Part of this project was to add a new module to RefineryCMS that allows people to upload videos. This module will take mp4 videos and automatically re-encode them to all formats necessary for use in an HTML5 video player. Show less
