Future Food is an entire ecosystem that makes food innovation a key tool to tackle the great challenges of the future, connecting with the world while promoting the local territory.

This comprehensive ecosystem centers around education, the Future Food Institute Trust, through its precious global partnerships, the Food Innovation Program and the numerous international training projects, provides a true platform of positive cross-pollination and constant inspiration.

In the ecosystem there is also a Future Food Accelerator that supports food corps and institutions on the paths towards open innovation, as well as training startup, nurturing communities of young entrepreneurs and scientists with “disruptive” ideas through laboratories.

The last project is the Future Farm: 70 hectares of land dedicated to combine farming traditions (protection of biodiversity and organic production of old variety of seeds), and new technologies and materials for the development of waste. Show less

History - Green Bronx Machine is an impact driven, for-purpose organization with 501(c)(3) status rooted in the belief that we are all Amer-I-Cans! Green Bronx Machine was born via collaboration between life-long educator Stephen Ritz and his students who observed that as waistlines expanded, engagement and opportunities in school decreased, school performance suffered, and hope and ambition became minimized. Originally an after-school, alternative program for high school students, Green Bronx Machine has evolved into K-12+ model fully integrated into core curriculum. Our students grow, eat and love their vegetables en route to spectacular academic performance. 60,000 pounds of Bronx vegetables later, our favorite crops include healthy students, high performing schools, graduates, registered voters, living wage jobs and members of the middle class. The Occidental Bohemian Farmers Market (OBFM) is a non-profit organization, operating as a certified farmers market since 2002. Our primary mission is to preserve the vital agricultural tradition of our community and connect our community members to the food they consume; three-quarters of our market is reserved for farmers and food providers. We are also pleased to offer a variety of services and locally-made artisan goods to our shoppers each week, as well as live music and educational tables.
