“I had the opportunity to work with Sydney when I was both an intern and associate recruiter at Charles Aris, Inc. from 2017-2019. Sydney spearheaded several projects for the marketing team during my time there, and I was excited to be included in some of those! For example, she coordinated a "day in the life" social media project where she captured all the details of how I spent my day as an associate. Sydney is professional, friendly, and very passionate about her work. It's been a pleasure seeing how she's progressed in responsibility and accomplishments in her career!”

“I interned at Charles Aris three times (Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020) and during all three seasons of my internship, I worked closely with Sydney in the Marketing & Digital Department. I’ve learned a lot from Sydney during my time at Charles Aris. Sydney is the lead person for everything social media related in the firm. She makes the social plan every week and is the in-house graphic designer. In the summer, she played an instrumental role in the marketing and advertising for the 2020 Bust the Bus with Us event, a community outreach event hosted by Charles Aris to support BackPack Beginnings (this event replaced the annual Kirkwood 5K, due to COVID-19). During this time, she managed both the Charles Aris and Kirkwood 5K social media accounts, reached out to potential sponsors and crafted social media and blog posts about them, created graphics for the event, and more! Sydney is also thoughtful about incorporating inbound marketing practices. Her goal when creating content is to present Charles Aris as a thought leader among their audiences. For example, Sydney created the Intern Insider, a monthly, external newsletter sent to college students that features tips and insights related to career-building and professional development. The newsletter has open rates between 55-60%, which further demonstrates her success in creating meaningful content on behalf of the firm. In addition to her experience and expertise, Sydney is just an absolutely fantastic team member! She is easily approachable and I knew that I could reach out to her for anything, whether it was related to my work at Charles Aris or my long-term career goals. While I was being coached and trained by her, she always welcomed moments where she could learn from me too. Her trust and confidence in me was important to me as I began my budding professional career. I’m privileged to have worked alongside such a great colleague and am excited to see her professional and personal journey progress!”
