What do you do if you're a self-employed team leader struggling to stay motivated while working alone?
This might be silly, but I always recommend using timers. Sometimes ALL of the work to be done can overwhelm and lead to quicker burnout. So setting a 20 minute timer to tackle a specific task often allows me to move through the fatigue I feel when juggling those priorities alone. Even when goal-setting, I often set a timer to allow myself dedicated space to “brain dump” as I amble my way to a SMART goal. It can be difficult to even take the energy and time to set smart goals or measure progress when you’re feeling especially unmotivated, so these dedicated pockets of time allow me to reenergize and really focus.
