  • Losing Aircraft in the Space Age

    Space Safety Magazine

This Special Report delves into how it is possible for an aircraft to vanish without a trace with dozens of Earth observation and telecommunication satellites whizzing overhead. It explores the touchpoints between aviation and space and how these impact safety in air and on ground. And it looks to the future to see how recurrence of this tragedy may be avoided in future.

  • To Mars

A science documentary filmed during a simulated mission at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah.

There has been a lot of talk lately about colonising Mars. But should't we rather strive to save our beautiful planet that for free provides everything we need not only to barely survive but to enjoy our lives?

The film will air at the international science film festival Academia Film Olomouc and at GeoCinema, a film festival organised by the European Geosciences Union.

  • Winner of the 2022 Writing Competition of the British Czech and Slovak Association in London

British Czech and Slovak Association in London

The first chapter of my novel, The Final Incarnation, that deals with the connection between historical and interpersonal trauma as it's passed on within families, won the first prize in the annual writing competition of the British Czech and Slovak Association in London. The novel is inspired by my own journey processing childhood trauma and its connection to the historical trauma of my culture of origin.

My first novel, The Final Incarnation, made the shortlist for the 2019 Impress Prize for New Writers, an annual competition run by the Exeter-based publishing house Impress Books, which specialises in high-quality literary fiction. It's a psychological story with historical and spiritual elements that explores the traumas of the Czechoslovak history through the eyes of a character who may be too young to properly remember the totalitarian communist regime, yet carries the unresolved scares of the past. The story explores the themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, death and, of course, the meaning of life.
