    Served a two year term as a citywide representative to my community's School Committee. Member of the Budget & Property Subcommittee (2010), the Curriculum Subcommittee (2011) and the Superintendent Search Subcommittee (2010-2011).

    During this time I learned a great deal about issues that impact education, including both challenges and opportunities faced by public schools. Among the topics that I studied were funding, enrollment (e.g., impact of school choice, student:teacher ratio…
