My concentration for my AP 2D Design Portfolio focused on self identity throught the stages of life. The first few artworks show the innocence of being a child and how our innate curiousity reflects our identity and personality. Then as we grow up we lose parts of our innocence through the obstacles life throws, and then shows how our identity is influenced by the experiences we go through. This leads to the teenage years where we start figuring out the world and have a rebellious attitude. We begin to do things that are dangerous and harmful because we dont yet understand who we are and how we fit into the world. Finally that bring us to adulthood where we finally have that silver lining and revelation of our purpose and find content in ourselves and the fact that our identity is everchanging.

I think this concentration of artwork, as lengthy as it was and a stuggle for me to finally figure out, also led me to a discovery of myself and helped me express some of the stuggles I deal with day to day. And thats what art is all about right? Self expression?

My Breadth Pieces (Teacher given projects) were mainly focused on the elements of design and how we can incorporate them into everyday tasks like making logos, doing photography etc. We also had to think outside of the box and find certain angles to make the most contrast out of something and really give our artwork that extra something it needs to get people attention and make our artwork stand out.

We wanted it to me designed in a way to fit the needs of the student in a clean and efficient way. (We name it "schooled" which stood for School Education) Schooled allows students to collaborate together in projects, turn in assignments to teachers, and keep all their files organized and on one platform to eliminate clutter.

Ryan and I are so happy to have created this together and we hope it makes an impact on how schools design their webpages.
