Solves complex problems every day and demonstrates strong communication skills as a City Council Member and also acts as a liaison between the general public and the city. 
 
Appoints the City Manager and City employees and annually evaluates City employees' performance in concert with City Council. 
 
Execute official documents, including signing contracts and ordinances, and other confidential documents for the Council. 
 
Orchestrates business attraction, retention and expansion strategies to preserve and improve the property tax base and increase entrepreneurial ventures, and employment opportunities. 
 
Reviews and approves City's tax levy, capital improvements program, and annual budget with City Council. 
 
Reviews and approves annual budget and establishes and updates goals and objectives for the City. 
 
Daily responds to residents’ requests, including sharing City’s policies and procedures, and directing the residents to City employees for information or resources. 
 
Participates in discussion of meeting topics and consider all proposals and facts while voting on behalf of the community on official actions. 
 
Reviews and establishes public and administrative policies with City Council. 
 
Upon recommendation of City Manager, appoints City Attorney in concert with City Council. 
 
Doing research and regularly reviewing meeting agenda and all applicable materials prior to the City Council and subcommittee’s meetings. Show less

Elgg is an award-winning open source social networking engine with advanced user management and administration features built in PHP 7, MySQL 5+, JavaScript, Shell, Python, and ActionScript programming languages that provides a dynamic framework on which to build software applications such as external (like Meta or Facebook) and internal collaborative platform and brand-building communications tools for companies (private/corporate networked intranet like Microsoft Sharepoint or internet), schools, non-profit organizations, and governments.

Writes several high quality code applications based on the PHP, Javascript, CSS, and API frameworks for Elgg Software.

Develops software applications with main focus on content, profiles, user management, and general usability improvements.

Contributes towards backend software development to improve security, email, api, translations and general software management.

Supports community administrators with my knowledge through training, provide bugfix support, and periodic maintenance.

Works on social networking sites for various clients around the world and develops several advanced application with cross-site tagging, powerful access control lists, internationalization support, and widget framework and more.

Learns and deploys new software technologies, troubleshooting issues, and solving applications problems to meet client’s needs.

Reviews code from other developers before it's allowed in the core.

Advocates for open source technologies and builds online communities using forums, mailing lists, and social media.
