For two days at Social Media Weekend, New York City's premier social media conference, organized by Sree Sreenivasan, I served as a social media doctor. I provided recommendations to professionals, journalists and marketers on how to improve their social media presences in one-on-one sessions.

As part of serving on the amazing volunteer team, I registered Social Media Marketing World attendees when they arrived, answered any questions they had, showed them the way to sessions, and more. This event really focuses on customer service and provides a great amount of energy.

As some of you know, I was diagnosed with chronic leukemia 15 years ago, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has provided important resources to me and my family over the years including funding for medications, access to family support groups, education & more. In December 2021, I found out that I am cancer free (I am so grateful), and as you know, everyone wins when cancer loses.

Even though, I am now cancer free, I am driven now more than ever to help other cancer survivors and supporters.

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
