    Project work included:
    Designed and implemented a passive training intervention for a regional bank that focused on identifying up-selling opportunities for current bank customers. This program cost just over $500 and generated additional revenues of 6% from current customers.
    Created and implemented an evaluation tool for Tim Rollins and Kids of Survival. A successful after school program that works with inner city youth and introduces attendees to classical works of art and literature, Tim Rollins and KOS were sponsored by Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation.
    As a class, we developed a comprehensive participant evaluation, which is still being used by Tim Rollins and KOS.

    As a volunteer for the Helen Devos Children's Hospital, I spent my time interacting with patients and their families, providing much needed breaks for caregivers. In this role, I provided an array of distractions for the patients that includes games, crafts and the occasional walk around the hospital.
    I also served as a new volunteer mentor, introducing new volunteers to key staff persons and orienting them to the facility. Because of my service I became well versed in privacy regulations…

    Swim Course Coordinator

    As the swim coordinator, I was responsible for the safety of over 1000 athletes, who were competing in three different race distances. I was also accountable for the accuracy of the course, as the Grand rapids Triathlon is an official USAT event. Additional responsibilities included: supervising 30 lifeguards and two SCUBA certified rescue divers during the swim portion of the race. I served as the contact person with local marine law enforcement during the swim portion of the event.

    As a swim course marshal, I was responsible for the safety of over 300 athletes who were competing in Michigan's only full distance triathlon. I was also accountable for the accuracy of the swim course, as 2012 was the inaugural year for the MiTi. I also assisted the race directors in managing the entire race experience, ensuring athletes received proper in-race and post race attention.

    I assisted in the day to day management of Tigray Trek242, during which 20 PCVs ran 242km over seven days and led HIV/AIDS education and prevention sessions in eight different towns in Ethiopia's Tigray province.
    Sessions within the HIV/AIDS spectrum included:

    -Four container gardening sessions with PLHIV (People Living with HIV) to improve food security at the household level.
    -One health fair in Wukro, Tigray with booths dedicated to sexual health education…

    -One session with the local Mother Support Group about Prong 2 (Preventing unintended pregnancies among HIV positive women) of PMTCT (Preventing Mother- to- Child Transmission).
