  • 2017 TN HIMSS Summit of the Southeast at Health:Further

    This event is the annual TN HIMSS conference focusing on Health IT. In 2017, TN HIMSS partnered with the larger Health:Further Festival and brought exclusive Health IT content to the conference in an innovative program format. As a the premiere Health IT conference in the Southeast and from HIMSS, the conference was a success in meeting the education, workforce development and networking needs of the Tennessee state chapter of this internal Health IT organization.

  • 2016 TN HIMSS Summit of the Southeast

    As volunteer Marketing Committee Vice President and Board Member, I was part of a large TN HIMSS leadership team that conducted the 2016 Summit of Southeast. We were charged with developing a content-rich conference, driving attendance and creating awareness of this chapter of a large internal Health IT Association. We were successful in driving attendance with 750 attendees, developing valuable content and generating awareness through media and outreach efforts. Post-conference survey results…

    I was part of a group of leaders and organizations in the healthcare industry that participated in a study of Health IT in Nashville led by the Brookings Institution, exploring strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. This was reported was distributed in September of 2016 and received close attention with several action items being developed from it.
