I have worked along with Mr. Mendoza many times during the last 20 years, both as a co-worker and as a client.

I find him to be competent in his approach to the environmental business, and in particular emergency response to both hazardous materials and water or land based oil spills.

He most notably stood out in a very high profile underwater recovery of submerged drums for the E.P.A. on the Mississippi River about 15 years ago that he was recognized by both the agency and the client for establishing a very well organized decontamination area that supported commercial diving operations as well as surface support environmental cleanup personnel coordinating the overall project.

He has a vast operational and technical knowledge of all processes, strategies and equipment pertaining to emergency response.

He has over the years continued to upgrade his personal skill sets through practical application as well as class room instruction and courses.

Tucker through his knowledge and long standing in the industry taught me the basics of the different facets of oil spill clean up from setting containment boom, correctly placing various skimming devices and operating them to there fullest capacities, boat operation and safety, setting anchors and how to utilize sorbents from the start to finish of many projects we worked on together.

At all times I have found Tucker Mendoza to be dependable, reliable, hard-working, conscientious, honest, as well as a mentor to our profession. Mr. Mendoza’s passion for the industry is well entrenched in how he approaches his dedication to his craft. Everyone in the industry knows and trusts Tucker for all that he has brought to the industry. Tucker always demonstrates a “can do” attitude but approaches ever situation with getting the job done in a safe manner.
