As judge for the 2017 and 2018 competitions, I evaluated 2-3 team's submissions (mostly in Chinese) and gave scores and feedback on the format and content of their social innovation startup ideas.

    July 2016. Startup Weekend San Francisco:
    The focus of this weekend hackathon was “Entertainment for Social Change”. As Mentor, I guided 2-3 teams during their first day of brainstorming, prototyping and feedback collection.

    Spring 2013, 2014 and 2015. TechWomen Canada:
    TechWomen Canada aims to connect and support Canadian women in the technology space to their peers in Silicon Valley. This week-long outreach initiative exposes the Canadian women to the high growth and impact culture of the Valley which they can use to enhance the growth of their technology companies. As mentor, I was in contact with my mentee prior to the event and helped make relevant introductions for her week in Silicon Valley, spent time with her during the week, as well as acted as a resource after the program.
