The Account Underwriter Trainee will:
Assess level of risk to determine & render underwriting decisions
Work with agents to resolve problems
Audit existing systems to ensure they are working properly
Re-underwrite current risks to take appropriate action
Communicate with management regarding issues in each parish
Review new business renewal and endorsement requests by analyzing all information to determine acceptability based on underwriting guidelines and sound judgment
Qualifications include:
Business related, Management or Agriculture college degree
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Professional communication, customer service, and analytical skills; assertive
Organized, detailed and career oriented with high work ethics
Proficient computer skills and use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Willing to work outside normal hours to complete responsibilities
