The Aquatics Coordinator provides leadership to the Club’s aquatics program, ensuring a quality experience for both members and staff. The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and training of all aquatics staff. Additionally, the Aquatics Coordinator assists in the development, implementation, and promotion of all aquatics programming, both in season and off-season.
Job Responsibilities
General
Work with the Director of Fitness and Aquatics to articulate a department vision that aligns with the vision for the Club
Assist with the development of annual departmental and individual goals and take responsibility for their achievement
Manage the development and implementation of the Swim Team Program
Work with the Director of Fitness and Aquatics to develop and implement aquatics programing that ensures high satisfaction and participation among the membership
Ensure a safe and clean aquatics facility
Supervision
Train, supervise, review performance, and assist with compensation decisions for the Aquatics staff
Conduct periodic performance evaluations
Manage staff schedules
Monitor time and attendance policy
Budget
Assist in the development and management of the annual operating and capital budget for Aquatics
Ensure that all budgeted objectives are met
Maintain and ensure accurate daily billing records; follow up with member billing questions
Program Implementation
Champion and facilitate teamwork and cooperation between departments
Develop, implement, and manage the Farmington Country Club Swim Team season
Contribute to the Farmington newsletter weekly.
Member Services
Provide high quality programs and services for members
Ensure a clean and safe environment for members
Promote a high standard of excellence and ensure member satisfaction
Study new aquatics trends and provide up-to-date information, answer general aquatics questions, and offer suggestions and advice to members
Inform members of upcoming and current programs through mailings, club newsletters, posters, and telephone calls
Serve as staff liaison to the Swim Team Parent Committee to ensure a successful swim team program that is meeting the needs of our membership
Equipment Maintenance
Organize and oversee a daily cleaning schedule for the aquatics facility.
Schedule quarterly preventive maintenance for aquatics equipment.
Schedule equipment repair, service, and order parts as necessary.
Previous experience in an aquatics facility or similar position
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Lifeguard Instructor (American Red Cross)
Certified Pool Operator(CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator(AFO) optional
Certified in Adult CPR/AED (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Certified in Infant/Child CPR
