We are looking for a skilled ASIC Design Engineer to join our team in a fully remote position. You will be a crucial part of our efforts in custom silicon ASIC design, focusing on first-party silicon chips for Azure and other products. If you have a strong background in ASIC and Verilog, and are familiar with tools from Synopsis and Cadence, we want to hear from you.


Key Projects:

  • Engage in custom silicon design for our products.
  • Develop custom IP for first-party silicon chips for Azure and other key projects.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years in the field, with significant expertise in ASIC and Verilog.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in ASIC design, Verilog, synthesis, Lin, CDC, RDC tools, and extensive experience with Cadence and Synopsis.


Disqualifiers: Lack of Verilog experience or a focus more on verification than design.


Top 3 Skills Required:

  1. 10+ years’ experience with synthesis, Lint, CDC, RDC tools.
  2. 10+ years’ experience with Cadence and Synopsis.
  3. 10+ years’ experience in Verilog and ASIC or silicon design.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze information to determine plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
  • Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
  • Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or computer simulations.
  • Evaluate factors such as reporting formats, cost constraints, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and make necessary modifications to ensure systems meet specifications.


Skills:

  • Creativity, strong communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player, detail-oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of design techniques and tools, as well as telecommunications systems.
  • Practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
