Join the Anakeesta family, build your career and discover the magic in the mountains! Anakeesta Mountaintop Adventure Park is seeking an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to assist in leading the Culinary team at Gatlinburg, Tennessee's premier attraction!


The Anakeesta Food and Beverage Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing all the food and beverage operations. They manage food and beverage inventory, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, train and supervise staff and maintain high levels of customer and team member satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills and an ability and desire to coach and develop leaders within the department.


Responsibilities


  • Assisting the Food and Beverage Director in overseeing all food and beverage operations and staff supervision and training within the establishment.
  • Assist in managing food and beverage inventory, including ordering of supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Assisting in creating annual budgets, forecasting and financial management for the department
  • Assist F&B leadership team with creating, updating, and implementing SOPs
  • Provides in the moment coaching and training to direct and indirect reports, ensuring that leaders understand the goals and are coaching their reports in a positive, results oriented manner to achieve efficient and effective operations, guest service, general standards, and teamwork
  • Partner with Food and Beverage Safety Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining cleanliness standards in food preparation and service areas.
  • Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Keep informed about industry trends, new products and customer preferences to enhance the dining experience
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to assist with creation of innovative and appealing menus
  • Assist in planning and implementing special events and festivals
  • Create and grow team members for succession planning
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • Degree in Hospitality Management or job experience equivalent
  • Previous leadership experience within the food and beverage industry overseeing multiple outlets
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Required certifications including Serv Safe and TABC
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays


Physical Requirements


  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
