Job Title: Benefits Manager

Are you passionate about creating and managing employee benefit programs that make a difference? We are seeking a dynamic Benefits Manager to lead our U.S. benefits administration. This role involves not only the day-to-day management of benefit plans but also crafting strategic proposals and communications to keep our employees informed and engaged. You’ll collaborate closely with our Benefits team and Employee Services to enhance our existing programs and introduce innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Benefit Administration: Oversee and ensure compliance for all North American benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, 401(k), and wellness plans.
  • Employee Communication & Support: Educate and mentor HR Associates, guiding them in effectively communicating benefit plans to employees. Act as the primary contact for complex benefit issues and manage FMLA and disability cases.
  • Vendor & Consultant Coordination: Serve as the main liaison with benefit consultants and plan providers to ensure seamless administration. Conduct research and analysis to recommend new benefit programs that keep us competitive and cost-effective.
  • Strategic Program Management: Support the vision, analysis, research, communication, and administration of strategic benefit programs. Align these programs with the company’s growth strategy, business objectives, and talent acquisition and retention goals.
  • Technology & Systems Oversight: Manage and configure the systems and technology that support benefit plans and eligibility. Work closely with Payroll, HRIS (WORKDAY), and Employee Services to ensure smooth operations.
  • Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Conduct budgeting and financial analysis of benefit programs. Monitor high-cost claims, target problem areas, and ensure accurate budget planning and tracking.
  • Wellness Program Management: Oversee existing disease management and wellness programs, analyze their effectiveness, and recommend new initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all benefit programs comply with governmental regulations and labor laws, including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA. Manage required testing, audits, and SOX compliance.
  • Benefit Changes & Enrollments: Ensure the Payroll team accurately processes day-to-day benefit changes and enrollments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a compensation and benefits manager or in a related role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong people and project management abilities.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Benefits experierence strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEBS or SHRM.
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
