The Billing Representative is responsible for preparing invoices in the Elite accounting system and other functions relating to the time and billing process.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that client and matter data is setup properly and updated on a timely basis, in accordance with Firm procedures and policies.
Process billing in the Elite accounting system, including editing of proformas, adjustments to unbilled time and disbursements and preparation of invoices.
Return completed billing to attorneys/legal administrative assistants within the established timeframe.
Monitor billing received from billing attorneys and submit reports to the Lead Billing Representative each month of attorneys that have not submitted billing timely.
Process special billing as necessary and required.
Answer questions from attorneys and legal administrative assistances regarding billing, client accounts and time entry.
Ensures that all requests and instructions encompassing client billing are consistent with firm policies, guidelines and ethical standards.
Assist Lead Billing Representative with month end closing.
Other projects as assigned by the Lead Billing Representative, Finance & Operations Manager or CFO.
