The Billing Resolution Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the resolution of billing issues to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This involves coordinating with various departments, developing effective billing practices, and implementing strategies to minimize billing discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of billing escalations and work closely with RSDs, RAEs, Client Services, billing vendor, and customers.
  • Investigating and resolve discrepancies and identify trends for improvement.
  • Ensure prompt and professional communication with patients and customers.
  • Work with Head of Billing to develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of the billing process.
  • Aid with the execution of new workflows and strategies.
  • Actively monitor status of outstanding billing investigations with billing vendor.
  • Ensure customer needs are identified, monitored, and practices modified to maximize customer satisfaction within established standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities, issue resolution metrics, and process improvements to senior leadership.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring billing issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Marketing, Client Services, Sales, Finance, IT and Market Access teams.
  • Coordinate systems implementation upgrades and improvements in our billing and financial systems and oversee the support and maintenance of all financial systems related to billing.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in laboratory and insurance billing.
  • Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations for health care.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and communication skills, with the ability to effectively speak to customers and patients.
  • Xifin and SalesForce experience a plus
  • Experience in billing for genetic testing with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Molecular Pathology codes.
  • Enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic, fast paced, team-based and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong understanding of managed care practices, insurance reimbursement and is current on healthcare issues affecting reimbursement.
  • Ability to think critically, work efficiently and responsibly in a collaborative environment with multiple work demands and brief time frames.
  • Experience using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e., Salesforce), XiFin and careviso.

Pay Transparency, Budgeted Range

$96,000—$110,000 USD
