As a Taxonomist will play a crucial role in organizing and classifying information to enhance the overall efficiency and accessibility of data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information science, data management, knowledge of financial terms, and a passion for creating structured and well-organized taxonomies.
KRAs
Develop and maintain comprehensive taxonomies for organizing and categorizing information across various domains. Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand and document content relationships and hierarchies.
Apply taxonomic principles to classify and tag data, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata application. Implement and enforce data classification standards to enhance data discoverability and retrieval.
Conduct quality assessments on Taxonomies. Implement best practices.
Document processes, guidelines, and any issues encountered during the Taxonomy tasks.
Collaborate with client teams.
Manage client relationship onshore. Act as a client contact onsite.
Facilitate co-ordination between client and the Genpact team.
Skills Required
Familiarity with Financial Statements and their interpretation.
Goof knowledge of financial and business terms.
Good interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written)
Experience in creating and maintaining Taxonomy in the Financial domain is an advantage.
Expertise in MS Excel

Minimum qualifications
Graduate in Finance / Commerce, MBA /Finance major preferred,
BTech, preferably in computer science and data can also be considered.
