Business Consulting Assistant

Acuity is seeking a Business Consulting Assistant to focus on supporting project portfolio management efforts, including completing project administration duties, coordinating meetings, preparing documents and monitoring documentation, preparing for audits, and more. In addition, the Business Consulting Assistant provides general support for the Business Consulting department, such as creating and maintaining documentation/reports, completing administrative duties, and assisting with event coordination.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with project portfolio management administration.
    • Helps maintain project management system as applicable.
    • Prepares and maintains meeting artifacts and other communications, including agendas and reports.
    • Supports training and auditing responsibilities.
  • Works closely with a wide variety of individuals within Business Consulting, Acuity, and occasionally external Acuity partners on various requests, projects, and communications.
  • Exhibits a “can do” attitude and proactively engages.
  • Provides routine and on-request support such as:
    • Creating and designing a wide range of documents, such as Word documents, PowerPoint slide decks, and Excel spreadsheets.
    • Distribution of department-wide communications.
    • Supporting department record-keeping.
    • Mailing preparation as needed.
  • Coordinates department and helps with onsite or virtual company events, working with event leaders to complete or assist with diverse tasks.
  • Regularly verifies, prepares, and distributes cadenced reports, leveraging spreadsheets and other reporting tools.
  • Performs repeating and singular project work, including research, analysis, and supporting tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years related experience, especially with office software.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience as described above or Associate Degree.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in leveraging technology and tools in support of the business.
  • Advanced application of office software, such as Microsoft O365 applications, PDF editors, and various applications.
  • Able to learn and utilize software applications related to project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with active listening skills in virtual, in-person, and hybrid office environments.
  • Ability to design or prepare materials efficiently, and to polish communications.
  • Works independently, balances multiple priorities, produces high quality work, and efficiently meets time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Regular in-office presence expected to handle routine department tasks, as well as special department events, meetings, and projects.
