As the Business Development Director at ShowStrategy, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our client base within the dynamic trade show and expo industry. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success and market leadership.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans aligned with the company's objectives and target markets.
  • Identify key industry trends, market segments, and emerging opportunities to drive growth and revenue.

Client Acquisition:

  • Prospect, qualify, and establish relationships with potential clients, including exhibitors, sponsors, and event organizers.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential leads and differentiate our offerings.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to the specific needs and objectives of prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and value propositions that align with client requirements.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and insights to help them achieve their trade show and marketing objectives.

Networking and Industry Engagement:

  • Represent ShowStrategy at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance our visibility and network with key stakeholders.
  • Identify partnership opportunities and strategic alliances to drive mutual growth and maximize market reach.

Performance Tracking:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and track progress towards goals.
  • Analyze sales data and market feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the trade show, events, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of trade show dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
