San Bernardino County seeks an experienced Registered Nurse focused on leadership characterized by compassionate care, building relationships, strong teams, and strategic growth to become Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) Chief Nursing Officer.

The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for administering all Medical Center nursing activities through subordinates. They are accountable for the organization and coordination of nursing services including the development, implementation and revision of nursing policies and procedures, determination of standards of clinical care, educational development, personnel management and the overall delivery of nursing services in the hospital. This position reports to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center - Chief Operating Officer.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) provides quality healthcare centered on compassion combined with expertise. Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following License, Education, and Experience requirements:

License: Must possess and maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Education: Master's degree in nursing, healthcare or business administration.

Experience: Five (5) years of senior level management experience in an acute care hospital.

Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field may be considered with six (6) years of qualifying experience.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a progressive, results-oriented nurse leader, who is a strategic planner with a demonstrated record of achievement in the administration of the nursing services in a large teaching acute care hospital. This candidate must also have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, provide excellent customer service, problem-solve and establish the standards of nursing and patient care services to achieve excellence in patient satisfaction and quality of care. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be financially savvy, possess the flexibility to adapt and lead through change, as well as embrace and implement new ideas. The candidate must be knowledgeable in a wide range of nursing practice issues including the laws and regulations governing standards of patient care.
