Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position Summary
The (Intern) Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) is a specialized research professional working with and under the direction of the Director, Clinical Principal Investigator (PI) and Clinical Research Coordinators. The primary responsibility of the CRA is to assist the Clinical Research Coordinators with conduct of research studies. The CRA supports and facilitates the daily clinical trial activities and plays a supportive role in the conduct of the study.

The primary responsibility of the CRA is to assist the Clinical Research Coordinators with conduct of research studies. The CRA supports and facilitates the daily clinical trial activities and plays a supportive role in the conduct of the study.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists Study Team, as needed in communication of study requirements to all individuals involved in the study.
- Works with the Study Team, as needed to develop and implement recruitment strategies in accordance with WAGI and IRB requirements and approvals.
- Assists Study Team as needed in the screening of subjects for eligibility using protocol specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, documenting each potential participant’s eligibility or exclusion.
- Assists Study Team in completing study documentation and maintenance of study files in accordance with sponsor requirements and WAGI policies and procedures including, but not limited to, consent forms, source documentation, narrative notes if applicable, case report forms, and investigational material accountability forms.
- Works with the Study Team to manage the day-to-day activities of the study including problem solving, communication and protocol management.
- Collects and reports ongoing patient recruitment/ enrollment metrics to Director and PI.
- Assists Study Team in protection of the rights and welfare of all human research participants involved in research in accordance with Federal regulations
- Cooperates with WAGI compliance and monitoring efforts regarding the access, use, and disclosure of PHI and reports instances of noncompliance to the appropriate compliance office.
- Review and update WAGI Study Workflow Chart and enter all patient visit data in e-CRF and Real Time CTMS on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned
Travel Requirements
- Local travel in the region may be required to other locations as needed (update if it will be more frequent)
- Prolonged periods of sitting/stationary work and performing administrative duties including the use of computers and phones
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach, rarely
- Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 25 pounds)
- Individuals in this position will be working in our Medical Clinics.
- Individuals in this position will be working remotely from their homes. This will require that the individual have a location to work from where they are able to ensure the protection of Personal Health Information (PHI), have the minimum internet connection required to utilize systems, and meet the other requirements for the Telecommuting Agreement. In general, WAGI allows employees that are approved to work remotely to work anywhere in the state of Washington. However, due to unique city ordinances that impact employers, WAGI does not allow anyone to work remotely from Seattle, WA. In addition, employees may not work outside of the state of Washington without receiving prior approval from the Director of Human Resources and COO.
