This position is part of the MnDOT Metro District’s Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) team and is intended to aid staff on a variety of communications, marketing, traffic safety education, and outreach projects, based on expertise.

Assignments will introduce the student to traffic safety issues and the professional world of public sector communications, while providing them with opportunities to learn and use new skills. This position’s primary responsibility will be to assist in program marketing and outreach for Toward Zero Deaths, an interdisciplinary traffic safety program dedicated to reducing traffic crashes, injuries, and deaths on Minnesota roadways.

This position can work up to full-time in the summer and during school breaks and part-time during the school year. The student will work independently with limited supervision. This position is located at Waters Edge in Roseville. The student will have the option to work onsite or a hybrid (onsite and teleworking). If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. Overnight travel may be expected, and the student must be able to independently travel to events throughout the state, although primarily in the metro area.
