Job Title: Computer Support Specialists

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Work Experience:
- Three to five years of relevant experience in the following:
- IT customer support and training.
- Computer installation, diagnosis, and repair.
- Network and standalone printer installation, diagnosis, and repair.
- Basic troubleshooting of scanners and other peripheral devices.
- Microsoft Office Suite troubleshooting and desktop support.
- Familiarity with virtual meetings tools, including MS Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
- Windows 10 desktop support.
- VPN and remote technical support.
- Adobe Pro troubleshooting and desktop support.
Job Duties:
- Perform installation, administration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Deploy and configure hardware and software systems.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with users, vendors, consultants, and IT staff to discuss IT solution options and recommend appropriate system platforms to meet program requirements.
- Prepare and assist with documentation preparation for procedural manuals, online help instructions for users, and technical documentation manuals for IT staff.
- Provide training in hardware and software technologies.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Support and maintain computer systems, including network and standalone printers.
- Troubleshoot scanners and other peripheral devices.
- Assist with Microsoft Office Suite troubleshooting and desktop support.
- Familiarity with virtual meetings tools, including MS Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
- Provide desktop support for Windows 10.
- Provide VPN and remote technical support.
- Troubleshoot and provide desktop support for Adobe Pro.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices is a plus.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are desirable.
Miscellaneous Information:
- Working hours are either 8 am - 4 pm or 10 am - 6 pm with a 1/2-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
- The Department of Financial Services (Client) does not provide parking facilities
- The office is conveniently accessible by bus or subway.
- Interviews will be conducted through Microsoft Teams.
- Overtime may be required; Flex time is not permitted.
- The selected candidates will be subject to background check/fingerprinting requirements.
