JOB SUMMARY:
Experienced 3PL (Third Party Logistics) professional to join a team that is focused on growing the business while advancing financial and operational performance. Support the pricing and contract renewal process by conducting analytics, modeling the current operations, and document findings to support the site. Utilize critical thinking and analytical skillset to identify areas of opportunity (both internal and external) across a variety of Consolidation and Fulfillment solutions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the analysis, design, and construction of Hub’s pricing proposals.
- Lead pre-planning, and coordination of contract renewals.
- Identify opportunities for growth, profit maximization, and network improvements through pricing strategies and tactics.
- Create customer-facing rates that deliver mutually beneficial goals and metrics.
- Coordinate with Account Management and Operations to monitor customer performance metrics and assist in the analysis and resolution of identified issues.
- Conduct detailed analysis of existing business and current financial performance. Analyze the findings and document the recommended actions.
- Support ad hoc analytics and compile metrics for customer QBRs.
- Complete network studies as requested.
- Complete or assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
- At least 3 years of work experience in the transportation industry, preferably within Consolidation or Fulfillment.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of transportation principles, economics, and supply chain network behavior.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and interface at multiple levels of an organization – Hub Group, customers, and vendors.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel).
- Minimal travel required (less than 5%).
