ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), and fiscal database management.

Audits workflow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized
Implements internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities and ensures compliance
Substantiates and justifies expenditures per DCF and ChildNet policies
Prepares or supervises monthly journal entries
Prepares or supervises general ledger and bank reconciliations
Prepares monthly financial statements
Performs and reviews monthly and annual closing process
Leads annual audit and tax preparation
Recognizes, respects, and responds to unique, culturally defined needs of others served
Skills/ Requirements
Years of Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in Government or Fund Management preferred with supervisory responsibilities required.
Education/Licenses/Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
Master’s Degree preferred
