This position is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of applications and application-related materials, as well as maintaining the Advanced College Credit Program.

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate as part of team for success of Rockhurst University’s Colleges of Business & Technology and the College of Arts & Sciences. This may include supporting colleagues with events and processes or communicating with students and faculty.

Develop working knowledge of Rockhurst University admission processes and requirements for admissions.

Receive, analyze, and accurately process applications in a timely manner.

Analyze and process supporting documentation, administer admission holds, maintain both current electronic files and archived digital files.

Prepare advisor files for enrollment and prepare files for Registrar.

Work with Rockhurst faculty on designated ACCP course offerings.

Communicate with area high schools on instructor selection, billing, and application procedures.

Assist students in registration for desired courses.

Collect grades and submit them to the Registrar.

Collect payment from high school students.

Communicate information about required documentation to prospective students through excellent written and verbal/presentation skills.

Support recruitment efforts through answering phone calls and interaction with prospective student visitors.

Interface with various campus departments.

Execute decision letter generation for applicable applications.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of customer and student service.

Strong communication skills demonstrated in-person, by phone call, and by texting and emailing.

Knowledge of basic project management and organizational practices.

Knowledge of Slate CRM and Banner student information system is preferred but not required.

Skill in detailed, time focused work.

Skill in excellent data entry and organizing.

Skill in independently performing, organizing, and prioritizing work activities.

Skill in written communication and editing.

Skill in the use of personal computers and related software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability to produce reports for departments across campus.

Ability to articulate professionally and concisely verbally and in writing.

Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse audience.

Minimum Qualifications

Some college and/or at least one (1) years of related experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in data entry, particularly in maintaining electronic document management systems.

Experience in organizational management and prioritizing for effective and efficient use of time and resources.

Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Experience supporting student workers in professional development or related supervisory experience.

Knowledge of standards of confidentiality in collaborative work.
