Demand Planning Analyst

We are looking for a passionate Demand Planning Analyst to join an exciting, fast moving premium soft drinks brand. This Global brand with Headquarters based in the UK has seen huge growth year on year within the US and wishes to recruit a driven and experienced individual to help manage the demand forecasting process for the US market. The position, based in Manhattan and reporting to the Demand Planning Manager will be a key part of the supply chain team, creating, analysing and owning customer and business volume forecast information. You will help provide the procurement and production teams with the detailed and accurate information they need for manufacturing to meet demand. You will be comfortable not only analysing trends, making manual adjustments and using systems but also have a deep understanding of how and why the forecasting tools calculate the data.

Key Responsibilities

- Developing and maintaining a bottoms-up, SKU-level forecast demand/baseline plans using historical data, growth targets, and sales team input

- Manage forecasts on a sku level and maintain with accuracy

- Assist in the S&OP process with the finance and regional sales teams, to gain specific market knowledge for use in analysis

- Prepare and support Monthly Demand Reviews and S&OP Meetings

- Identify risks/opportunities by analysing actual performance trend versus the forecast

- Understand demand drivers such as innovation, promotions, in-store activity, pack changes,

phase outs, or any other elements that need to be layered onto historical demand projection to provide consolidated plan

- Translating the demand plan to financial objectives, including revenue, case sales and phasing

- Experience in developing, adapting, testing, modifying and implementing new ways of working, reporting and execution in Anaplan (Model and/or Page Building)

- Provide Ad-Hoc analytical support to multiple departments and management for business decision making

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree

- 2-3 years professional experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain and/or distribution planning

- Experience in the wine and spirits industry a plus

- Prior experience with an ERP platform especially NetSuite is a bonus

- Understands the importance of accurate planning and excellent attention to detail

- Experience in collaborative or integrated planning process preferred

- Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills

- Strong knowledge of MS Office, and have an advanced understanding of Excel (Macros, V/X lookups, Pivot tables etc)

- Strong knowledge, mid to advanced understanding of Anaplan (Page and Model building),

PowerBi, Excel Power Query or other programming language (SQL, Python, RStudio, Logility, JDA – or other integrated business planning tools)
