Summary The Constructions Services Department Manager is a key role responsible for managing the technical, operational, and financial aspects of the Construction Services Department, supervising personnel, business development efforts, and completing individual projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Keeps records of personnel transactions such as timesheets, benefits, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Forwards necessary documentation to the Human Resources Department and/or Payroll for recordkeeping purposes
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and support staff
Review clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
Responds and/or investigates employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project requirements are met
Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and adjust plans as necessary
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
Assign tasks and responsibilities, provide guidance and support, and evaluate team performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding construction projects
Conduct meetings and presentations to communicate project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction
Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial guidelines
Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Regular attendance is required

Required Qualifications:
Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria)
Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)
Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients
Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reports
Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university
Registered Professional Engineer within the State of Florida
Preferred at least five years of related experience and/or training
Experience with Deltek Vision
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with Adobe
Experience with SAP Concur
Preferred experience managing personnel in A/E/C firm
