About This Role

Dexter Southfield seeks a Digital and Print Designer to design print and web materials as part of our Marketing and Communications team. The role requires you to conceptualize, design, and produce an array of materials from single and multi-page print pieces to digital graphics. Qualified candidates must demonstrate outstanding visual communication skills, an ability to proofread, and a willingness to collaborate. The Digital and Print Designer reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design materials to support our Marketing and Communications Department’s needs and goals, including but not limited to posters, temporary and permanent signage, brochures, stickers, mailers, resource guides, and annual reports
  • Design a variety of mediums, including print (paper, vinyl banners, signage, etc.) and digital (web, email, social, etc.)
  • Manage the School’s brand identity and edit the brand guide as needed
  • Work with and develop vendor relationships to deliver quality products
  • Ensure adherence to established brand and style guides
  • Read, proofread, and interpret provided content and present it in coherent, branded designs
  • Design emails, including invitations, digital reports, and fundraising appeals
  • Creates graphics for the School’s website and digital marketing as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external vendors to deliver creative marketing products
  • Other duties, as assigned


Skills And Qualifications

  • College degree in communications, arts, media, design or a related field
  • Effective project and time management skills to efficiently prioritize projects by deadline
  • Creative and innovative thinking with excellent attention to detail and proofreading
  • Advanced-level skills working with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated use of use sound judgment and excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient knowledge of English language to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual and consistent attendance, time management skills, and a strong work ethic
