Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Director, Graduate Medical Education in Education and Faculty Affairs (in the Office of the Chief Physician Executive). We're looking for a dynamic administrative professional eager to showcase leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in our educational programs, specifically our graduate medical education program.

Role Overview:

  • Lead and direct the GME office team and provide indirect and direct supervision to departmental GME coordinators.
  • Partner with both the DIO and GMEC chair to lead MSK GME and oversee, update and implement all policies and procedures related to graduate medical education.
  • Oversee all hiring, financial, accreditation and legal matters for all full-time and rotating trainees, medical students, and observers.
  • Engage with internal program directors, hospital clinical leadership and a variety of other hospital stakeholders to educate about, advocate for and create alignment for GME programs.
  • Lead relations with various external regulatory groups.
  • Lead departmental statistical preparation, data acquisition and outcome analysis.
  • Lead development programming of GME program community

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent 5+ years of experience in medical education (equivalent types of experiences in hospital operations can be considered)
  • Understanding of current rules and regulations of accrediting agencies
  • Proven managerial experience in overseeing a large team
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills

Additional Information:

  • Location: MSK’s Main Campus hospital, 1275 York Ave, in NYC.
  • Schedule - Monday to Friday
  • Reporting to the Deputy Physician in Chief of Education and Faculty Affairs
  • We are open to considering candidates available for relocation to NYC this summer.

Pay Range $162,000.00-$267,200.00
