Job Description: We are seeking a visionary Director of Innovation to lead the charge in integrating new technologies in Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and work processes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and provide our clients with state-of-the-art solutions. This role involves developing and executing an innovation strategy, managing the idea generation process, conducting research and development, fostering collaborations, establishing robust innovation processes, and measuring and reporting on innovation efforts. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement comprehensive innovation strategies that align with ZELUS’s goals.
• Define and prioritize initiatives in agreement with the CEO, ensuring they include projected profitability metrics, implementation plans, and timelines.

1. Technology Integration:

• Analyze and integrate new technologies to streamline work processes and scale the company's existing services.
• Lead current initiatives, including creating an augmented reality offering and integrating AI software solutions to enhance data processing efficiency.

1. Idea Generation and Management:

• Manage the organization's idea generation process, including soliciting, evaluating, and prioritizing ideas based on their potential impact and feasibility.

1. Research and Development:

• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and technologies.
• Develop new products and services that leverage these trends.

1. Collaboration and Partnerships:

• Foster and collaborate with external organizations, including universities, research institutes, startups, and other businesses to drive innovation.

1. Innovation Processes:

• Establish and manage innovation processes within the organization, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and scaling.

1. Measurement and Reporting:

• Measure and report on the organization’s innovation efforts.
• Track key performance indicators, evaluate the success of innovation projects, and report findings to management.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Experience:
• Basic commercial/industrial construction knowledge.
• Project management experience in construction-related projects or similar fields.
• Basic financial management skills.
• Technical certifications and degrees related to construction/architecture.
• Proven project management and leadership experience.
• Experience in enterprise-level product process development.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in an office environment with occasional site visits.
• Flexibility to work various schedules and longer hours when necessary, with little or no notice.
• Ability to read documents, use a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Mobility within office and construction site environments.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to twenty pounds.
