Director of Manufacturing

We are partnering with our client to find their first-ever Director of Manufacturing. This role will focus on Automation and Strategy alongside the VP of Operations. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who will be responsible for transforming manufacturing processes through innovative automation. The Director of Manufacturing will be a key player in driving operational excellence, optimizing production, and ensuring the seamless integration of robotics and automation into our manufacturing systems. This role will pay $130,000-$185,000 annually, DOE. Our client offers unlimited PTO and 100% employer-paid medical benefits! Candidates will be required to be on-site in Portland, OR, and travel up to 50% of the time.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead the transition of production processes to advanced robotics and automation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the automation program aligns with organizational goals.
• Oversee the operational aspects of automation, including budgeting, procurement, and technology selection.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of automation initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in perishable goods, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or assembly line operations is preferred.
• Exceptional project management skills with a hands-on approach to implementing automation programs.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to design automation systems from the ground up and see them through to completion.
• Willingness to travel and engage with multiple sites to ensure the successful rollout of automation initiatives.
