Director of Quality

Our client is an innovative leader in plastics and sustainable packaging with revenue of c. $6bn and over 100 manufacturing sites globally. One of their core values is sustainability and they have created a focused strategy to reduce global waste and improve reusibility of plastics. This role will play a key part in continuing to define this roadmap and execute on the strategy as this role is to lead quality for the largest region (40% of global revenue).

They have retained our firm to identify a Director of Quality to lead and redefine their quality program across the North American region (40+ sites). A successful candidate for this position will help create and implement standards for quality evaluation across multiple manufacturing sites. This position demands a strong leader who can navigate complex quality challenges, develop teams, and ensure compliance with high standards.

Role responsibilities:

• Define quality objectives, establish a roadmap for achieving objectives, and lead quality operations at multiple locations.
• Implement and/or improve Quality Management Systems between facilities and create a streamlined process.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert of all quality-related events and the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Review and assess supplier manufacturing processes by visiting supplier facilities and observing their manufacturing operations.

Background and qualifications:

• Ideally 10+ years of relevant Quality and Manufacturing work experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Has numerous years in a leadership role with team management responsbilities
• Preferred Lean Six Sigma or equivalent Lean program expereince
