Description

Monroe Capital LLC has multiple openings for Director(s) in Chicago, IL (with extensive travel and/or possible relocation in unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.) to analyze and evaluate potential investment opportunities.

  • Manage the entirety of the deal process (diligence, terms and completion) with Partner oversight.
  • Consult with debt underwriting team on comprehensive diligence including but not limited to financial, market, legal and operational evaluation.
  • Work closely with portfolio company management to develop and actively monitor execution of detailed strategic plans (including key value creation initiatives, detailed financial models, KPIs, milestones and exit planning).
  • Actively monitor portfolio company performance thru the development of weekly flash reports and detailed monthly operating reports that detail performance against the strategic plan.
  • Assist the Monroe Portfolio Management Group in the active monitoring of portfolio company cash flow.
  • Serve as the point of contact for portfolio company executives.
  • Provide detailed weekly updates to Monroe leadership.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance/ Marketing or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in the field of Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance/ Marketing or related field.
  • Alternate Acceptable Education and/or Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance/ Marketing or related field and 10 Years of experience in the field of Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance/ Marketing or related field.
  • Analyze and evaluate potential investment opportunities and lead the investment analysis and due diligence process to project cash flows and returns.
  • Apply valuation methodologies and market sizing knowledge/tools to assess investment opportunities;
  • Work with company management teams and Boards of Directors on various initiatives to drive value and earnings growth;
  • Serve as a point of contact with third-party advisors, e.g., financial and legal firms;
  • Develop and actively monitor execution of detailed strategic plans including key value creation initiatives, detailed financial models, KPIs, and milestones.
