Summary

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth that is sustainable and profitable by identifying opportunities to expand the company’s client base, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will involve strategic planning with a goal of establishing new programs and long-term agreements with new and existing customers, and you will be responsible for executing all key sales growth strategies and action plans required to achieve your financial targets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets, execute marketing campaigns and enhance the company's market presence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for customers; projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products; conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries for business development; analyze market trends.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Identify and report on new business opportunities with potential customers and/or markets.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.
  • Directly manage critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the oversight of all other accounts.
  • Assist in the development, preparation and delivery of sales proposals.
  • Work closely with operations and customer service regarding the oversight of accounts, customer retention, backlog and problem resolution.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new accounts, incorporating a strategy that targets expanded products, capabilities and customers for both our Connecticut and Florida locations.
  • Ability to travel to visit both domestic and international customers, as required by the company, to support sales objectives and customer requirements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an MRO environment.
  • Proficiency in standard business Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales and business development process from plan to close.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to work on a team.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
