Summary Of Role

Reporting to the Chief Capital Markets, Chief Business Officer, and Head of Palmetto Finance, the Director / VP will be responsible for leading capital markets activities spanning across capital raising and execution, which includes managing key banking and tax equity relationships, as well as overseeing the modeling work to support the advancement of the opportunities. The Director / VP and their team will negotiate with banks and other financiers for all asset-related capital transactions for Palmetto. The role will be a key member of the LightReach leadership team and help develop the in-house capital markets expertise and awareness across the organization.

Strategic & Tactical

  • Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
  • Oversee the development and execution of Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
  • Execute tax equity and debt financing transactions including negotiations with counterparties, document review, and related due diligence
  • Oversee reporting associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency on all things Palmetto Finance
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key banks and external partners
  • Is highly attuned to customer needs and requirements, and can anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives
  • Develop junior capital markets team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; master’s or MBA a plus
  • 8-10+ years of experience in banking or capital markets; solar industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
  • Deep experience in financial modeling and negotiating and structuring complex deals
  • Proven track record of working on complex financial transactions, collaborating closely with internal teams (Finance/Accounting, Legal etc)
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
  • Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams in Finance & Accounting, Technology etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience presenting and influencing decision making at the senior leadership level
