Job Title: Manufactuing & Distribution Process Improvement Engineer

Duration: 6-9 month contract to hire

Onsite in San Bernadino, CA + 40% travel out of state to other client sites

Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P PST, occassional Saturdays may be required as needed

40 hours per week

What is the business driver for this resource need?

Assist 10 different client accounts with building a new account platform to have visibility for all accounts & locations in real time.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Dedicated to specific start center to start and will do the same process to various accounts
• Optimize + improve Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• To optimize and improve distribution center processes (all inbound, outbound, inventory control, QA) utilizing Six Sigma, Kaizens, LEAN, along with improvements in equipment and automation as appropriate for the San Bernardino warehouses, and other distribution centers
• 5 or 6 different WMS. At least 3 are archaic from a DB perspective.
• GUI interface - different from the background of the DB.
• Process improvements, WMS enhancements - they'll have influence on the ultimate direction and processes in the org.
• Fleet analytics - come back with recommendations from the team following research – org impacting

Focus:

• Primarily focused on improving processes and operations within the organization
• Aim to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and designing improvements.
• Implementing process changes and monitoring their impact.
• Utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Must Have Experience:

• Value stream mapping & process improvement techniques (Six Sigma, Kaizens, LEAN)
• WMS and manufacturing processes
• Supply Chain mgmt/logistics background
• IT Integration background
• Automation, IT integration experience.
• Need to understand from a warehousing standpoint, how would automation impact the facility and invoke any type of that - user impact.
• Being able to document how those work, then deliver on some ROI - scope in terms of cost.
