SPRING POINT CHILDREN'S CENTER
EARLY CHILDHOOD/CHILD CARE TEACHER
DATE OF POSTING: April 11, 2024
STARTING HOURLY RANGE: $19.45 - $20.25

DESCRIPTION: A teacher at Spring Point Children's Center plays diverse roles within the organization. They are responsible for delivering quality early education and care and implementing developmentally
appropriate curriculum for children aged 3-5 years. Additionally, they oversee and guide Early
Childhood Education (ECE) practicum students, actively engage in collaborative efforts to support the
educational initiatives of the Early Childhood Education department, and exemplify excellence in the
field through their practice.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Candidates must possess knowledge of emergency first aid/fire safety procedures and experience working in a group care setting. Responsibilities include working with a teaching team to create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, assess the developmental needs of students, maintain a healthy and safe environment, and communicate positively with students, parents and staff and the ability to interact continually with preschoolers in a lively, animated environment, both indoors and out. Must be able to pass the state licensing requirements for childcare workers (including SBI and DHHS check). Familiarity with NAEYC standards and accreditation process is a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related field.
Up to and including one year of Experience working in a childcare center serving 13 or more children. 200+ practicum hours in a licensed settings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
