Editorial Producer

Our client, a Nonpartisan Non-Profit, is looking for an Editorial Producer to join their team on a 3.5-month temporary basis, beginning in August. We are looking for someone who has prior relevant experience working as a producer, knowledge of ProTools, and an experience writing for radio/podcasts. Experience in Journalism and media is a plus.



Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hr



Responsibilities:

  • Creating captivating debate topics, accurate motion language and guest ideas.
  • Giving thorough research and pre-interview notes to moderators and the full team.
  • Producing debates, including script writing and making radio cut edits that adhere to NPR clock.
  • Collaborate with the sound engineer on final mix delivery.



Qualifications:

  • Prior relevant work experience as a producer.
  • Experience in journalism and media a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of ProTools.
  • Experience writing for radio/podcasts.
  • Strong understanding of the podcast / radio / streaming landscape, as well as the mix process for radio/podcasts.
