This position will start at $31.80 per hour and up based on experience.
Ultium Cells Overview:
Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.
The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot all electronic/electrical equipment
Troubleshoot automation and instrumentation issues on facility equipment (PLC, AC Drives, HMI, etc.)
Responsible for maintaining operational status of all electronic/electrical equipment throughout the facility
Responsible for defining and performing maintenance tasks of all electronic/electrical equipment
Maintain positive posture in all safety programs and activities
Participate and lead as required maintenance improvement activities (i.e, CIT, RCA and CAPEX)
Evaluate new and replacement electronic/electrical hardware
Accurately document work history in CMMS up to and including entering and closing out work orders
Prepares facility maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Assist in training maintenance personnel of lower classification as required
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Qualifications and Competencies:
Minimum of 4 years industrial experience or an active Journeyman Electrician license is required
Must be flexible and show the ability to work within changing business conditions and technologies
Must be able and possess the ability to lead by example
Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal and communicational skills while working collaboratively with other without line authority
Demonstrate superior problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to use precision measuring and testing instruments as required
Able to independently test operation of equipment following repair or service to assure acceptability
Ability to oversee and assist contractors as needed
